SHIRA POLLACK, PSYD
Dr. Shira Pollack is a postdoctoral fellow at Glacier Psychology Services, with a deep commitment to holistic and compassionate mental health care. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University at Buffalo. While pursuing her doctorate, she provided therapy to college students at University at Buffalo Counseling Services, individuals with eating disorders at a partial hospitalization program, and oncology patients at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. She then completed her APA-accredited doctoral internship at Ohio University’s Counseling and Psychological Services, with areas of focus on treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and sport and performance psychology.
Dr. Pollack is passionate about treating OCD, phobias, anxiety, depression, and emotion-driven behaviors like procrastination and disordered eating. She integrates therapeutic techniques from evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), all while maintaining a humanistic, culturally-sensitive, and trauma-informed approach.
