SHIRA POLLACK, PHD

As a therapist at Glacier Psychology Services, Dr. Pollack is committed to embodying our values and mission in her practice by providing culturally sensitive care to children, teens, adults and families. She is passionate about helping clients to look beyond their diagnosis and engages in strengths-based care. 
Dr. Pollack’s expertise in assisting clients with obsessive compulsive disorder and anxiety coupled with her passion for providing empathetic and non-judgmental care allows for healing and a sense of inner peace. Dr. Pollack’s training has provided her with a breadth of knowledge to help clients overcome the very difficult grip OCD and other anxiety disorders hold over an individual. She is dedicated to her clients’ journeys toward happier and healthier lives. 

Experience: 

Dr. Pollack is a dedicated counseling psychologist with a deep passion for helping individuals navigating anxiety disorders. She earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology at University at Buffalo. She has experience working as a college counselor at University at Buffalo as well as Ohio University. She enjoys working with adolescents and young adults as they navigate multiple life transitions that exacerbate mental health symptoms (i.e., anxiety, OCD behaviors, depression, disordered eating). 

She is dedicated to helping adolescents and young adults find healthy and effective means of coping. She recognizes the immense stress and pressure high school and college students face today.  Dr. Pollack has witnessed incredible strength and resilience in her clients when equipped with the right tools.

Drawing from a range of evidence-based therapy approaches, including, strength-based, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training, motivational interviewing (MI), exposure and response prevention (ERP) and mindfulness-based practices, Dr. Pollack creates a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. She is known for her kindness, empathy, and genuine care for her clients’ well-being.
